So today re-starts my blogging experience. I used to be a pretty intense Xanga-er, but have long since settled on Facebook as an online outlet to waste time! However, I read an article about this site in a magazine, and it actually sounded a little more worthwhile than other Internet procrastination sites, so here I am! If you're wondering what the name of my blog is about...well, those are two of my favorite things. I'm very Sound of Music in that I like to reflect on my favorite things. It makes me happy...as favorite things should. Some girls have shoe or purse fetishes; I am obsessed with pajamas. Flannel, cotton, thermal, fleece, long pants, boxers, sleep shirts, etc. I love to have lots of cute pajamas. As for Sour Patch Kids, I am convinced that I have, much like a cow, a separate chamber in my stomach for Sour Patch Kids. You know that one food that you could eat until the end of time and not get tired of nor get full on? That's the one for me. I try to stay away from them if I can. Chips and salsa have another chamber of my stomach to themselves as well. Other favorite things of mine include mail, music, the Peanuts comic strip, Harry Potter books and movies, sweatshirts, musicals, cats, perfume, having long hair, cheese, chocolate, candy, brownies (anything sweet), naps, chick flicks, taking pictures, shampoo, and Sprite out of the fountain.
For a little more conventional background information...I am a college student majoring in graphic design, and I'm not exactly sure what I want to do with that yet. I love all kinds of art - visual and performing. I like painting, drawing, and photography. I'm not very skilled with computer artwork yet, which is unfortunate as that is the main focus of a major in graphic design, but I'm working on it! Kind of. I also love music and dance - I play the French horn and I can sort of play the piano, and I absolutely love finding new music and listening to movie scores. I like most kinds of music, excluding whiny, nasal-y boy bands, emo crap, and heavy metal hardcore stuff. I love to dance and to watch people dance, and I wish I could have had more experience with it first-hand! I also like to write, although I don't have a great deal of experience outside of English classes. I like proofreading papers, too. I'd love to write a fictional book...I'm just not sure where I'd even begin! I'll let you know if anything develops out of that. Ha! :)
I think that's enough for now. If you read this...have a gold star from me.
